Celta built the whole 2026/27 season on a single four-colour palette. This is the shirt where all of them arrive at once — and the one where you can see exactly what each colour is doing.
The palette. Sky blue, navy, red and cream. That's the entire identity system Celta and Hummel agreed on for 2026/27, and it doesn't stop at the match kits — it runs across roughly forty pieces including training wear and the leisure line, which is why the home shirt, the training top and the off-pitch jacket in this collection all feel like they belong to each other. The third shirt is the loudest expression of that system, because instead of letting one colour lead, it puts four of them on the front panel and asks them to share. Reading it colour by colour is the quickest way to understand the design.
Red — the base, and the reason it exists. Red carries the body, and it isn't an arbitrary pick: red is among the colours Celta wore in their earliest days, so the third shirt is a nod backwards before it's anything else. On top of the red sits a layer of tonal diamonds — the same motif as the rest of the pattern, rendered in a lighter shade of red — which gives the front panel a subtle two-level depth. It's the reason the shirt looks different in a photograph than it does in your hands: at some angles the tonal layer disappears entirely and you only see clean flat red. Practically, red also does the job a third kit has to do, which is to be impossible to confuse with either the sky-blue home shirt or the navy away shirt.
Sky blue — the accent that keeps it Celta. The light-blue diamonds are the loudest single element on the shirt and the smallest area of colour. That's deliberate. Celta's home shirt is essentially all sky blue, so using sky blue here as a series of accents rather than a base means the third kit still reads unmistakably as Celta without ever being mistakable for the home kit — which is exactly the problem a third kit exists to solve. The diamonds run in vertical columns down the front, alternating with navy, each one outlined in a fine white and pale-red line that separates the pattern from the red behind it.
Navy — the structure. Navy is doing the load-bearing work, and almost all of it is at the edges. The collar is a proper polo shape in navy with white trim, and the cuffs repeat the same navy-and-white treatment, so the top and bottom of the shirt are framed in the same colour. Navy is also the second diamond colour, and it's the colour of the shorts — which is what turns the piece from a shirt into a kit. If sky blue is the identity, navy is the architecture.
Cream — the one that isn't there. Here's the detail worth knowing before you buy: cream is in the 2026/27 palette, but it is not on this shirt. The trim on the collar and cuffs is white, not cream. On the home shirt those same trims are cream and red; on the third shirt they've been moved to white so they read cleanly against the red and the tonal layering. It's a small piece of discipline — the club kept the palette, but adjusted it per shirt rather than stencilling one set of colours onto all three. If you're completing the set, that's the difference you'll notice when they're hanging next to each other.
What sits outside the palette. Two things. The crest itself — the long red cross of Santiago with its fleur-de-lis arms, carrying a light-blue shield with the white "C" monogram and the crown at its centre, embroidered in its current colours with a white outline, which happen to overlap with the palette rather than obey it. And the sponsor lockups: the Estrella Galicia 0,0 oval on the chest and ABANCA across the lower back, both held in their own brand colours, because sponsors don't get recoloured. The crest is also the reason this shirt looks the way it does at the top: instead of being parked on the left chest, it sits centred, directly above the sponsor mark, which is how the club described the design — the crest taking centre stage. It's an unusual layout for a football shirt and it's the single thing people comment on when they see it.
The details you'd only find by looking. At the back of the neck, the club's nape detail is worked into the pattern — the club describes it as carrying the founding year, and in the finished shirt it reads as a short row of four small white diamonds set just below the collar, a quiet reference to Celta's history rather than a printed anniversary badge. The shoulders carry the standard white Hummel chevrons, and the Hummel wordmark sits in white on the wearer's right chest. On the sleeves there is one white mark per sleeve: JP Financial on one, and a white ring mark reading "móvil" on the other.
If you're buying. The set is a jersey and a pair of shorts, and the official kit's navy socks are not included — worth stating plainly, because kids' kit listings elsewhere often bundle all three. Kids sizes run by age and height rather than an adult scale, so go off the chart on this page and off a measurement rather than the child's school uniform size; if they're between sizes, take the larger, since these are outgrown in a single season more often than they're worn out. The back is left clear above the lower-back sponsor for a name and number. Celta's own personalisation this season uses the Sempre Celta font — the club typeface introduced in the Copa del Rey and Europa League and tweaked for 2026/27 so the numerals carry the two "C"s from the crest — with the official LALIGA font as the alternative; personalised shirts are made to order. Wash at 30°C inside out with similar colours, no softener, no bleach, no tumble dryer, and don't iron directly onto the crest, the Hummel marks or the printed sponsors.
